Method
- In a small bowl, pour in 3/4 cup Worcestershire sauce and add 3 tablespoons of honey. Using a basting brush, stir the mixture until the honey fully dissolves into the sauce.
- Stir in 1/8 teaspoon cayenne powder and mix until all ingredients are well incorporated. Taste and adjust the quantity of cayenne if you prefer more heat.
- Set the glaze aside. As your kabobs grill, periodically brush the glaze over them to create a luscious, sticky-sweet finish.
Notes
This glaze is all about simplicity and versatility. If you don’t have Worcestershire sauce on hand, a mix of soy sauce, vinegar, and a pinch of sugar works in a pinch, while maple syrup or agave nectar makes a great substitute for honey. Adjust the cayenne powder to suit your family’s spice tolerance; you can always add more heat but can’t take it out once it’s mixed. Prepare this glaze ahead of time to have one less thing to worry about when hosting or grilling on a busy weeknight.
