Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz penne pasta or rotini (340 g)
  • 1 lb ground beef or thinly sliced steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Halal Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese or mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Method
 

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the 12 oz pasta and cook according to the package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 lb of ground beef (or thinly sliced steak) and cook until browned, breaking up the meat as it cooks.
  3. Stir in the diced onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper. Cook for about 5-6 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.
  4. Add the 2 cloves of minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Season the mixture with 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and 1 teaspoon Halal Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Pour in 2 cups of beef broth and 1 cup of heavy cream, then bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, stirring to coat it with the sauce. Mix in 2 cups of shredded provolone (or mozzarella) and 1/2 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese, stirring until the cheeses melt into a creamy sauce.
