Ingredients

Ingredients
  • ½ cup unsalted butter 113 g, softened
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch fine sea salt to taste
  • Optional: ¼ teaspoon or ½ teaspoon vanilla extract or orange zest vanilla extract for depth or orange zest for a bright, citrusy note

Equipment

  • Medium bowl
  • Hand whisk or electric mixer
  • Ramekin or serving dish
  • Parchment paper

Method

  1. Place the softened unsalted butter in a medium bowl and beat for 30-60 seconds until the butter becomes smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the honey, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of fine sea salt. If using, also add the optional vanilla extract or orange zest.
  3. Beat the mixture for an additional 1-2 minutes until it becomes noticeably lighter in color and fluffier in texture.
  4. For a casual presentation, spoon the butter into a small serving dish or ramekin. For an elegant touch, transfer the mixture onto parchment paper, roll it into a log, and twist the ends to seal.
  5. Either serve immediately at room temperature to enjoy the soft spread or refrigerate for 20-30 minutes for a firmer texture.

Notes

This honey cinnamon butter is ideal for creating a quick and decadent upgrade to your breakfast or snack. If you prefer a dairy-free version, try substituting with a quality plant-based butter. Experiment with the optional additions — a dash of vanilla extract or a burst of orange zest — for different flavor profiles. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
