Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown 1 pound of ground turkey with 1 small diced onion for about 7-8 minutes until the meat is no longer pink. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Add 2 cloves of minced garlic to the turkey and onion mixture and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup sour cream, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese along with ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, and ½ teaspoon paprika (if using). Mix until well combined.
  5. Spread the turkey and creamy mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  6. Arrange the 32 oz bag of frozen tater tots in a single layer over the mixture. There’s no need to thaw them first.
  7. Bake uncovered for about 30 minutes, until the tater tots begin to turn golden brown.
  8. Remove the casserole from the oven, sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top, and return it to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted completely.
  9. Allow the casserole to cool for about 5 minutes before serving. If desired, garnish with sliced green onions for a fresh finish.
